Following a successful relaunch earlier this year, the Southern Illinois Leaders Breakfast will return this fall, continuing a regional tradition built around leadership, conversation and connection.
The next Southern Illinois Leaders Breakfast will be held Tuesday, October 6, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the new SIU Tedrick Welcome Center in Carbondale. The event will feature Terry Gwaltney as the morning’s featured speaker. Terry is a purpose-driven serial entrepreneur, accomplished author, captivating keynote speaker, and dedicated servant leader!

The Southern Illinois Leaders Breakfast brings together decision makers from business, healthcare, education and communities across the region for a focused morning of insight, conversation and connection.
The October event builds on the momentum of the Leaders Breakfast relaunch and its mission of creating a place where people from across Southern Illinois can meet, exchange ideas and develop relationships that help move the region forward.
Gwaltney will bring his perspective and experience in leadership and economic development to the conversation, offering attendees insight into the importance of strong leadership, collaboration and creating opportunities for communities and regions to grow.
Beyond the featured presentation, the Leaders Breakfast is designed to create connections across sectors. Business executives, community leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, economic development officials and other decision makers will have an opportunity to network and engage with others working toward the future of Southern Illinois.
The event will be held at the SIU Tedrick Welcome Center, 1264 Lincoln Drive in Carbondale. Registration is $25 per person, and seating is limited.
The Southern Illinois Leaders Breakfast is presented by SI Now and hosted by the SIU Foundation at the new SIU Tedrick Welcome Center.
